#weekendcoffeeshare Oct. 2-4

Happy weekend! Happy October!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve written on my blog. I’ve been pretty busy at work, and my reading schedule has increased since I started using the wonderful library app, Libby.

Today, I work in the afternoon to the late evening, but I’m used to working on weekends.

Tomorrow is another workday for me. I also have a shift on Monday. I’m definitely looking forward to my days off in the middle of the week!

This weekend is especially nice because my Little Big Sister Abbie came home. She got a teaching job and had to move out because it wouldn’t have made sense for her to commute every day. (She teaches in a small town here in Minnesota. For the sake of her privacy, I won’t tell you where.) She’s loving her first year as a fifth-grade teacher. She’s lucky to have such a small, wonderful class. I’m so proud of her!

This Saturday feels particularly nice because I’m up early enough that I don’t have to rush before I head to work. I am doing my best (starting with this blog post) to get back into writing more on my blog.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who is following me! I never thought in my wildest dreams I’d have 70 people interested in my blog. This is a huge compliment for me because I work so dang hard to put out the best possible content as a writer. I love sharing my books, my days, and my poems with you all. Thank you, thank you!

Fall is a nice time of year, full of changing leaves and changing weather. While I don’t play winter sports, I don’t mind the snow. But that’s a month or two away. I’m just happy I don’t have to scrape snow off my car yet.

I recently finished reading Darius the Great is not Okay. I can’t wait to talk about this book with you guys. It was a wonderful meditation on what’s it’s like to live with depression, something I wish that more people knew about. I learned about Persian culture and agreed with a lot with Darius’s view on depression.

Have a wonderful fall day!
