#weekendcoffeeshare May Edition (so far)

Grab a cup of coffee, and let’s get this started! I’ve been busy reading lots of books lately, writing a sci-fi book, and got my car fixed. (Yippie!)

May 3rd – 5th

I spent this weekend working. I also wrote a blog post that Friday. Nothing too crazy.

May 10th – 12th

This particular weekend was fun. Friday, I worked a short shift. I picked up a shift on Saturday, which is always nice. Sunday, though, was fantastic. First, my parents, grandparents, sister, and I all went to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see Mamma Mia! We ate delicious food–I had rotini pasta, which was very good–and watched the play. Mamma Mia! is about a girl named Sophie sending wedding invitations to her three potential fathers. As the men encounter the real reason why they’re on the island, Sophie’s mother finds out that her old flames have been invited to her daughter’s wedding. Hilarity and sentimentality ensuses as Sophie must decide who will walk her down the isle.

Then, after Mamma Mia! my parents, Abbie, and I saw The Play that Went Wrong. This was surpise, because we had no idea what to expect. This is a who-dunnit kind of play, but with a twist: everything that can go wrong does. The elevator breaks, a murder goes awry, and actors mispronounce and forget their lines. Sometimes, entire scenes are repeated because a certain someone starts it all over again. It’s a very funny play. I laughed so hard. This is a play worth seeing because it’s clever, slapsticky, and rewarding. There is a plot, it just doesn’t go quite as you’d expect.

May 24th – 26th

While this weekend hasn’t happend yet, I’m definately looking foward to it. Earlier this week, I was I was able to fix my car. There were a few electrical problems that needed to be fixed. I’m very happy that my car is back in working order! I’m excited to go to a birthday party in the cities, where I’ll be meeting some my boyfriend’s friends for the first time. I know what their voices sound like, and what they look like, but it will be fun to hang out with them in real life.

Looking forward to this weekend! How ’bout you?
