Grab a cup of Joe and let’s get stared!
This past weekend, I had Friday and Sunday off. I worked on Saturday. I spent my days off reading A Song of Fire and Ice: A Clash of Kings, the second installment in George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series. Things are certainly heating up between the three kings: the King in the North, Rob, Stannis, from Storm’s End, and Joffery at King’s Landing. I still dislike how winy and jerky Theon Greyjoy is–which is putting it mildly. Tyrion, Jon Snow, and Arya are still some of my favorite characters. I’m excited to see what Tyrion is building with the many linked chain he’s making.
I also became quickly hooked on the TV series Mr. Robot. It’s about a vigilante hacker named Eliot who wants to change the world. With a unique narrative structure, an ode to the unreliable narrator style of made popular by Fight Club, Mr. Robot will keep you entertained and thrilled. I’m already on the second season, and I only started watching about a week or two ago. This show captures your attention right away, refusing to let go. I love the score, too.
On Sunday, I got to go see Hello, Dolly, which was a wonderful experience. I really wish that my sister Abbie could’ve gone with us. Instead, we invited one my aunts to come to the play with us. We had a wonderful time, laughing our way through the whimsical musical.
I hope everyone had a good weekend!
