Do you believe in fate/destiny?
Hello, dear readers!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m slowly working towards getting back into writing more frequently. (It’s a process.)
I don’t necessarily believe in the whole fate/destiny, but I find it so interesting that I met some of the most important people in my life through happenstance.
If I hadn’t randomly struck up a conversation after class with Alex H., we probably wouldn’t have become close friends.
I met Rory because I went to a meeting in the library. We were friends for maybe a month before we started dating. We’ve been together now for almost 12 years.
I’m also good friends with Natalie, one of Rory’s best friends. She’s very smart, funny, and also loves to read. I miss hanging out with her in person; she had to move for work. We still talk online, but it’s not quite the same. One of these days Rory and I will have to go visit!
Because I put myself out there, I had made some amazing friends in college. I met the love of my life, without looking.
I will forever feel in awe of my closest friends, individuals who let me be my whole self. I couldn’t ask for better companionship with Rory.
Some of the best moments in my life have happened simply because I wasn’t expecting anything.
